-Give peace a chance-
The skies are torn, the rivers red,
The cries of millions fill our heads.
We march through ashes, cold and worn,
And wonder why the world is torn.
Our hands can build, yet strike with steel,
Our hearts can love, yet rarely heal.
We paint our flags on walls of grief,
While dreams of peace are all too brief.
Why do we burn the fields we till?
Why chase the fire, the endless kill?
The earth we share, the skies, the seas,
Still whisper softly through the trees.
For even in the darkest night,
A candle flickers with its light.
A child will laugh, a hand will hold,
A story of compassion told.
Give peace a chance, hear the plea,
Let mercy bloom, let hearts be free.
Though war may rage and shadows dance,
Hope survives if we give peace a chance.
